ORAL PLUS ALCOHOL- FREE SUSPENDING VECHICAL
Oral Sweet is an expedient syrup base vehicle, formulated to assist the compounding pharmacist in the preparation of oral extemporaneous delivery system. Oral Sweet may be used alone, to flavour aqueous solutions or in conjunction with suspending agent to impart flavour and sweetness while increasing the physical stability of the suspension. Oral Sweet contains a suitable preservative pharmaceutically elegant and easily utilized by the compounding pharmacist.

Oral Sweet contains purified water, sucrose, glycerine, sorbitol, sodium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, xanthan gum and citric acid as buffering agents and potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, methylparaben sodium, propylparaben sodium as preservatives.
It may be used alone or as an oral syrup vehicle. It may be diluted to desired taste and thickness with water or other aqueous vehicle. Oral Sweet is also designed to complement the use of formulations. Oral Plus suspending vehicle as such it is buffered to be added to a pre formed suspension and diluted in approximately 50-50 concentration.
Aqueous solutions: weight the material with water or other water miscible substances such as glycerine or sorbitol. Dissolve the material in a minimal amount of water add Oral Sweet and mix well or other suspending agents. It is critical to form an initial suspension with the suspending agent first, using Oral Sweet to dilute to volume. If Oral Plus is used as a suspending agent, an approximate equal proportion of each is optimal.
Caution: Please do not crush tablet or capsule formulated for time or sustain release.
Store in original container, tightly sealed, protected from direct sunlight, in a dry and well-ventilated area, away from incompatible materials. Eliminate all ignition sources. Separate from oxidizing materials. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not store in unlabelled containers. Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental contamination. Store below 25ºC.
