Oral Sweet Plus Syrup Vehicle Sucrose & Citric Acid
Oral Sweet Plus is a convenient, non-flavored syrup- based vehicle formulated to assist the compounding pharmacist in the preparation of oral extemporaneous delivery systems. Oral Sweet Plus may be used in conjunction with suspending agents to impart sweetness while increasing the physical stability of the suspension. Oral Sweet Plus contains suitable preservatives and is buffered to a slightly acidic pH to provide a vehicle which is dependable, consistent pharmaceutically elegant and easily utilized by the compounding pharmacist.
Enquire NowOral Sweet Plus may be diluted to desired taste or thickness with water or other aqueous solutions. Oral Sweet Plus is also designed to complement the use of any suitable Suspending Vehicle. As such, it is added to a pre-formed suspension and diluted in approximately 50-50 concentrations.
Oral Sweet Plus contains purified water, sucrose, glycerine, sorbitol and sodium phosphate, citric acid as buffering agents and potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, methylparaben sodium, propylparaben sodium as preservatives.
Aqueous Solutions: Wet the material with water. Alternately, dissolve the material in minimal amounts of water, add Oral Sweet Plus to dilute to volume. If a suitable suspending agent is used an approximate equal portion of each is optimal.
Store in original container, tightly sealed, protected from direct sunlight, in a dry and well-ventilated area, away from incompatible materials. Eliminate all ignition sources. Separate from oxidizing materials. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not store in unlabelled containers. Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental contamination. Store below 25ºC.
